Denis Smanov: How unique concrete flooring technologies are changing the face of industrial construction in Russia

In construction and industrial production, the reliability and durability of structures play a crucial role. One of the most essential elements of any production facility is the floor, which must withstand enormous loads, maintain its integrity under various operating conditions, and, at the same time, ensure the safety of employees. In recent years, technology in this area has advanced significantly, and one of the best examples of this is the work of Denis Smanov, an efficient manager who found a unique solution for concrete floors using metal-embedded elements.

Modern requirements for industrial floors necessitate the abandonment of outdated technologies such as temporary wooden formwork. Their shortcomings, including lack of joint protection and susceptibility to failure during operation, lead to significant repair costs. However, the unique system of fixed embedded elements at the joints of daylight concreting, developed by Smanov, offers a promising solution. This innovation, patented in 2011, not only provides joint protection but also increases the load capacity of the floors by 40%, marking a significant leap forward in the field of industrial flooring. Another important component of Smanov's work is using a new material—steel fiber concrete. This composite material, created by adding steel fiber to concrete, has increased strength and durability, making it ideal for industrial flooring. Although steel fiber concrete is still in active courtship and application in Russia, Smanov is not afraid to introduce this material into his projects.

"I am convinced that innovation is the key to success in the construction industry. I took a risk and introduced steel fibro concrete into my business. This material has opened up new horizons for us, allowing us to replace traditional steel-reinforced concrete, which does not always cope with today's demands for strength and durability. To my surprise, the use of steel fiber concrete has fully paid off. It proved more reliable, but it was often the only possible solution for complex projects."

Manager the production of concrete floors in industrial buildings Denis Smanov's bold approach to innovation and high-quality standards have been the key to his success and demand from major clients such as AvtoVAZ and Bosch.
